She ghastly outsider, why she love me? For I am a philistine, or so I'm told A tad under weight but with violent eyes to die for I'd kill for you and leave all the evidence to the birds She's a she mercenary. She'll shoot Apocalypse into her arm, but I'll still love the ground she spits on. She shoots and those bullets hurt so bad parcel Peckinpah, she shoots so slowly. She's got barbs in her flesh, she's a she mercenary.

The Interior 02:47
Wounded souls lie in my box, I curse the man who put them there drowned and burnt not dead not dead She scratches the tears from her eyes Oh in the interior don't shout The tongue is scorched to the bitter root of the Interior. I throw them out they grow and grow, She has the wounded souls and Oh She recalls the bitter root

The Diseased Stranger’s Waltz. A/G. Am/C/E7. I am the stranger, I am the stranger, The diseased stranger, from out of town. Am C Well, I ask so completely for mercy, E7 Rope burns that beat like the living, Am C Under the freeway or under the sun, E7 The words that I write are chocked from my throat, Am C I’ll confess almost anything going, E7 I shot the president three times from all sides, Am C The stranger lost in the Orchard, E7 Too many souls and no one alive. I am the Stranger, I am the stranger, The diseased stranger, from out of town. Am C I am the Stranger, I am the scapegoat, E7 I am disease from out of town, Am C Don’t string up my marrow drawn bones, E7 I am the last of the living outlaws, Am C Yeah don’t drag my bloated body, E7 And fling me down in the stream, Am C The fish are the biters of disease, E7 And deserve me more than they. I am the Stranger, I am the stranger, The diseased stranger, from out of town.

about

When it was released in 1985 it received some great notices. Here is a review in SOUNDS at the time.

Sounds Feb 2, 1985
Indelible Incas 4.5 stars

In which the babies really bounce. Enough single prose and performance to whet the appetite, now the Rumble reaches full force and unleashes enough new tracks to make the long wait worthwhile.
“It’s brilliant, just say that”. Offers their manager Chris Lee, and it’s true. The incas keep their integrity intact with gritty no prisoners passion that drips from every ruffled chord. Over 42 minutes and only two previously heard offerings – one of which has been severely remixed – for a mere £399.
From the bottom of a dirty glass, the inca babies tell some kinda warped stories. These diagrams are are just every day, though – the babies are very wholesome and pure in their rock n roll extremities. Our man Harry spits blood, and words too, occasionally. Pure mayhem for a dying brit scene? Go and see them live, our very own Chris Roberts says their singer, “Jumps around a lot”
But whereas the knights of trash may be narrowing their market by playing within the confines of the genre, the inca babies have delved deeper plucked harder and delivered sufficiently. The guitar occasionally rings the Doors Circa ‘The End’, the growl may gasp at 1000 US weirdsters, the thud may clunk like a million tribal warriors, but the sound’s pure inca. Aggressive, powerful and altogether satisfying after a hard day in hell.
The inca babies are a spirited mutant. They’ve evolved from too many nights in cold rooms, listening to foul, scratched Stooges and Beefheart albums. It was essential that the group took their bodies to extremes (and not just their bodies . . . ) and the subsequent flashbacks came out of the music. A result of the state of Britain, a true satellite of the rock theory. Thrill a minute stuff.
From Elvis Presley to the Inca babies. The story is nearly complete (and it only took 50 years in the making)
